Alright, let me break down who I am and what I do for you, because it seems like you've got a lot of questions. You can call me Keith Barry and I'm what some people call a “brain magician” or a mentalist. I don't perform the kind of magic you see with rabbits coming out of hats or cards flying around. My focus is on the mind, on how it works and how easily it can be led.

Now, about this whole "brain magic" thing. It’s not some mystical, out-of-this-world stuff. It's about using the power of psychology and communication to create illusions. What I mean by this is that it's all about understanding how people perceive things, how they process information, and how their attention can be directed. I manipulate things like language, nonverbal communication, and other psychological techniques to create the impression of a sixth sense. It's about making you believe that I can read your mind, that I can see things you can't, or that I can influence your thoughts, not with spells or supernatural powers but with a thorough understanding of the human mind.

I don’t rely on sleight of hand or trickery in the conventional sense. What I’m really doing is manipulating your perception. It's about knowing what you're going to focus on and using that to create what appears to be impossible. So what you're seeing isn't "real magic." It is real, in the sense of the result, but the methods are rooted in science and psychology.

As you saw with the hand demonstration at the beginning, all it takes is a little direction, a little distraction, and a series of carefully timed instructions to get a group of people to do exactly what I want. It's easy to manipulate the human mind once you know how. It's kind of fun when you can see it happening, right?

I'm constantly fascinated by the things that we don't fully understand about the human mind. When I was 15, I read about a blind Russian woman who could sense colors and read with her fingertips. That sparked my curiosity. How is it possible for someone to gain that kind of understanding with no vision? As you saw from that footage, I even tried to recreate a similar experiment on television. I wanted to see if the concept of "second sight" was something that was within reach, and while I don't have a clear answer, you saw that we did make it work. It’s still hard for me to explain, even though I was the one doing it.

And that's part of the point. As I said, I know the brain can be tricked because I do it often, but it's not about trickery. My magic is all about how attention is directed. If I don’t want you to see my right hand move I wont look at my right hand. And if I do want you to see my right hand move, then I'll look at it as well. I manipulate that focus and create a mystery that you can't figure out.

That voodoo experiment with the two people? That's another example. I never actually touched Nicole. It was just a trick of perception and misdirection. I touched the other person, and through the power of suggestion, she felt it too.

When I took the man to a heightened state of synchronicity, it was to demonstrate how much the mind can be manipulated by simple instructions. The whole thing with his hand sticking to the table? It’s all about playing with the power of suggestion. The pressure he felt wasn’t real pressure, but the perception of pressure. He did exactly what I directed and it shows the power of your mind.

Even the psychokinesis experiment with the Coke bottle. I wasn't actually breaking the bottle with my mind. It was the negative energy of her relationship combined with the shard of glass in the coke bottle that caused the glass to break. It's that mental impact combined with a little bit of scientific ingenuity. And of course, I guessed the guys name by the way she was reacting, but it all looks like a trick to the mind.

And finally, that whole blindfolded thing with the spike and the wooden plinths? You saw I made sure he mixed them up, and didn't let him know where the spike was. I couldn't see through the blindfold and still managed to avoid the spike! That’s because I'm playing with what you expect and what you assume, combined with a little bit of luck, and a whole lot of mind control.

So, yeah, that’s me in a nutshell. I’m fascinated by the potential of the mind, and I’m always exploring ways to show that to people. I know the mind can be easily tricked but that’s what makes it fascinating, It's all about directing attention, and once you understand those principles, you can do some pretty amazing things. It’s not about being a wizard, but understanding how all of your minds work. And if you’re curious to learn more, I’ll be outside, ready to show you some sleight of hand.
