Hannibal Lecter And Jeff Bezos In Remote Lighthouse During A Storm
Hannibal Lecter and Jeff Bezos are stuck in Remote Lighthouse During a Storm and forced to have a deep conversation.
1. "The human mind, Mr. Bezos, is much like your Amazon warehouse, a vast inventory of experiences, meticulously cataloged, though some sections are far more... poorly managed than others," Lecter began, a subtle smile playing on his lips.
2. Bezos, gazing out at the tempestuous sea, responded, "Efficiency is key, Doctor. Whether it's delivering packages or processing thoughts, bottlenecks are unacceptable. Sentimentality, for instance, a major impediment to progress."
3. "Ah, sentimentality," Lecter mused, "a delicate seasoning, perhaps, adding complexity to the dish. Too much, and it becomes cloying, indigestible."
4. Bezos turned, his gaze sharp, "Indigestion is bad for business, Doctor. I prefer a clean, scalable solution, one that optimizes for maximum output."
5. Lecter chuckled softly, "And what of the inputs, Mr. Bezos? Where do you source your raw materials for this…optimization?"
6. "The marketplace provides," Bezos replied, dismissively. "Supply and demand, a beautifully brutal algorithm."
7. "Brutality, you see, is an ingredient best served with fava beans and a crisp Chianti," Lecter countered, his eyes gleaming in the flickering light.
8. Bezos paused, considering. "Data suggests that most people prefer convenience over nuanced experience. I cater to the majority, Doctor. It's simply good business."
9. "But the majority, Mr. Bezos, are so easily led, so susceptible to suggestion. A shepherd and his flock, perhaps?" Lecter inquired, tilting his head.
10. "Ultimately, Doctor," Bezos concluded, returning to the window, "we're all just optimizing for survival. Some of us are just better at it than others."
