John Lennon And Stephen King In Flooded Subway Tunnel
John Lennon and Stephen King are stuck in Flooded Subway Tunnel and forced to have a deep conversation.
John: "Right then, Stevie, this ain't exactly Strawberry Fields, is it? More like Strawberry Drowned, eh?"
Stephen: "Drowned, John, that's a good word. The subway always felt like a lung to me, now it's filled with the wrong kind of breath."
John: "Maybe this is it, then, the end of the line, literally. But what if the real terror is all the things we didn't say?"
Stephen: "Terror's in the gaps, John. The spaces between what we know and what lurks just beyond the edge of perception."
John: "So, you reckon there's a monster lurking in this murky water, waiting to pull us down? Or maybe we are the monsters, already?"
Stephen: "We all got monsters, John. Mine are just a little louder, a little more… toothy. Fear is the only true constant, after all."
John: "But love, Stevie, love! Surely that's a bigger force than fear? It can change the world, can't it?"
Stephen: "Love's a fragile thing, John. Like a flashlight in the dark, it can only illuminate so much before the batteries die."
John: "Well, I'll keep shining my light, even if it's just a flicker. Maybe that flicker's enough to scare away the boogeyman, eh?"
Stephen: "Maybe, John, maybe. But don't be surprised if the darkness answers back. It always does."
